Just prior to the BERLINALE 2012, on February 8, the International Academy of Media and Arts e.V. (IAMA) together with the Live Entertainment GmbH hosts a workshop on co-production in Germany’s capital city, this time with an Indian focus.
At this „International Content Summit (ICS) – Focus India“, renowned representatives of the German and Indian media industry (e.g. directors, producers and authors working for TV and film) discuss how the profound changes in narrative style of contemporary Indian films might affect possible co-productions between Germany and India. Furthermore, the discussion addresses chances and possibilities for German media representatives in the Indian film and media market. Participants can discuss legal issues, financing and distribution opportunities and more in just a short amount of time.
The ICS is part of a four day long IndoGerman Script Development Workshop and is designed as a follow-up of the „International Co-Production Day“, the IAMA and others have introduced in 2012.
The summit is supported by the state chancellery of Saxony Anhalt and further institutions. Venue is the representation of Saxony Anhalt in Berlin.
