European Animation Masterclass (EAM): Successful finish of this year’s workshop series EAMprofessional

European animation talents met in Halle (Saale)/Germany for intense training

Halle (Saale), 28 November 2011: Animators, script writers, producers, directors and other professionals and young professionals from the animation business, in 2011, once more took a chance to benefit from the European Animation Masterclass (EAM). This practice related training is based in the Multimedia Centre of Central Germany (Mitteldeutsches Multimediazentrum) in Halle (Saale), Germany. The latest workshop sequence EAMprofessional – developed by Mike Riemenschneider – has been organized and implemented by the non-profit organisation International Academy of Media and Arts for the past two years. This November, participants and lecturers from all over Europe and beyond attended the two multi-day modules of the EAMprofessional – coming from Hungary, Bulgaria, the UK, Ireland, Slovenia, Finland, France, Spain, the U.S. and Germany.

In the approved manner, the advanced training course focused on key elements concerning the production of animated programme. In one of the Modules, participants dealt with script development, branding and the tightly connected skill of pitching – which relates to the art of presenting and moreover “selling” your project to attract funding, co-producers, broadcasters and other partners. The other module was dedicated to the topic of the actual funding of projects such as cartoon series an animated feature films. It also focused on the subject of international co-production that is essential for the implementation of commercial productions.
