Participants from the European animation scene usually come together for intensive trainings within the frame of the European Animation Masterclass (EAM) in the Multimedia Centre of Central Germany in Halle (Saale), Germany. Not in the winter of 2012. From February 23 to February 24 the EAM is on tour.
The two day long workshop will take place in the Finnish capital of Helsinki. The event deals with the topic of co-production with a focus on the Asian animation market. Among the renowned course instructors are Mike Robinson (UK, founding member of The British Animation Training Scheme (BATS); chairperson at Cartoon Forum 2011), Petteri Pasanen (Finland, CEO Anima Vitae Ltd.), Virve Vicky Schroderus (Finland, Acquisition Executive YLE TV2-Finnish Broadcasting Company.) as well as Nicole Keeb (ZDF, Head of International Coproductions, Development and Acquisitions).
The EAM in Finland is hosted in co-operation with Finnanimation, the Finnish animation producers' association.
